We are passionate advocates for people with disabilities.
We are proudly Catholic and work closely with the Catholic church to make it more inclusive and welcoming to all.
Our hearts are inspired to help the special needs community who are too often treated like the crumbs under the table referenced in Matthew 15:27.
We are called to serve and minister in this arena.
We are thought leaders in the Church called to create dynamic and engaging lessons that will help our community to better know, leve and serve the Lord.
We seek to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by amplifying their Faith,
Faith Pathways is a faith enrichment program open to all. It was specifically developed and is being delivered for people with disabilities. While our roots are in the Catholic church we welcome all who seek to better know, love and serve the Lord.
It was our intention to develop a religious education program based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults with disabilities. This program allows the students to continue their learning through adulthood without interruption. We are excited to share this program is the first of its kind in the United States.
It's what we are called to do.
"The same Jesus who heard the cry for recognition from the disabled Judea and Samaria two thousands years ago calls us, his followers, to embrace our responsibility to our own brothers and sisters in the United States". (Pastoral statement of the US Bishops on Persons with Disabilities, 4th printing 1998).
To enrich the lives of people with disabilities emulating the life of Christ .
We inspire and enable the full potential of people with disabilities to have a meaningful life with knowledge, love and service to the Lord.
to enable the extraordinariness of the marginalized
"who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." (John 9:1-5)
Was inspired by the birth of his son with Down Syndrome and his desire to help the church become more welcomign to people like him.
Was inspired by her work in the US Catholic church in the Archdiocese of Detroit. She is gifted in the catechesis of the Catholic church, Diocese needs, the needs of our community, Parish needs and church leadership.
Inspired to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all who are marginalized especially persons with disabilities. She is providing gifted leadership to all aspects of this program.
The program design team includes gifted disability ministry leaders from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia,
a professor of Sacred scripture
from the University of Dallas , and the Chairperson of the Council on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD).
