Faith Pathways is being rolled out as a pilot in the Diocese of Joliet Illinois now and will be offered more broadly afterward.
We plan availability to otehr Parishes after the pilot is completed in the Summer of 2023. If you are interested in attending or offering this program please email us at the link below.
We welcome all candidates with a documented disability who 18 or older, have an 8th grade reading level (or have an accompanying adult), and have a passion to grow in their knowlegde, love and service to the Lord.
Each lesson includes core catechism material delivered by a Catechist gifted in teaching it to people with disabilties, along with at home "mission" assignments.
The local Parish will decide the number of lessons and program length. The full program will include 20 lesssons offered in under a year.
Faith Pathways does not include Sacramental preparation. However it is Faith enrichment program that is a solid foundation for additional studies. If a candidate is interested in receiving the Sacraments, they should contact their local Parish.
There is no cost for the candidate to attend Faith Pathways. the Parish cost is only to host the sessions ( local meeting room, a computer, a large display monitor, and a parish coordinator).
Classes are a mix of remote and in-person. The online classes can be attended anywhere and the in-person classes will be held at the Parish or Diocese office.
To actively particpate in the sessions, and complete the "mission"assignnments.
Faith Pathways lessons are delivered by a gifted centralized special needs Catechist that is provided by us. The Parish supports this program with an in-person volunteer and leads the recruitment and enrollment of the candidates.
